Tiddle-A-Wink

Players

two to ten

Boneyard

For two or three players a double six set is used. For four to six players a double nine set is used. For seven to ten players, a double twelve set is used.

Also Known As:

  • One-Arm Joe - a draw variation in which each player receives only three dominoes at start and draws from the boneyard when blocked.

The Deal

The dominoes are dealt out with each player receiving an equal number of bones. Any excess are set aside unused.

The Play

The player holding the highest double sets it. From this first domino only the east side is open. Each player in turn must play a domino on the open end by matching a number on the domino to a number on the open end. If a player is unable to play, she must pass. If a player plays a double (including the starting double) she may immediately play a second domino. The round ends when a player goes domino or when all players have passed in succession.

Scoring

A player who goes domino scores the points remaining in all opponents' hands.

If a round ends because all players are blocked, each player scores the difference between the count in hand and the points remaining in higher count opponents' hands.

The game ends when one player reaches 100 points.
