The Press Offices

You open the door to the press archives, and find yourself staring into a scene of utter chaos. Technicians are working to connect electronic equipment throughout the office. Floor tiles are removed throughout the room exposing trays of cables. Nearly every desk, and much of the floor, is covered with crates stacked two and three high.

A disheveled and slightly harried-looking man turns as you enter. His eyes light up as he sees you standing hesistantly in the entry.

"Come in, come in. Don't be shy," he says, "Don't mind the chaos, we are just getting set up in our new offices here." He looks around a little sheepishly at the chaos surrounding him. "I am afraid that our data services are quite limited at the moment. We are working on a cross-referenced historical news archive, but right now we don't even have our computers working. So I am afraid you will have to search the archives by hand for now."

With a sweep of his arms, he draws your attention to the one bank of computer terminals that are working. "We have some historical news online, but you will have to read each article's summary to figure out if it is what you are looking for."
