The Academy is your resource for tips and tricks to winning Starfire. Here you will find articles covering every aspect of the game from the most effective use of a particular weapon system through using squadrons and fleets effectively to proper management of an interstellar power on a peacetime or wartime footing.

The Academy features three schools. Squadron Officers' School (SOS) is a tactics school, and publishes papers related to the use of individual weapon systems and effective use of single units or small squadrons. Space Command and Staff College (SCSC) is an operations school, and publishes papers related to effective deployment and use of fleets. Space War College (SWC) is a strategic school, and publishes papers on effective warfighting, from putting the right forces on target at the right time to effective management of peacetime and wartime economies.

The Academy will publish papers from each school once a month on a rotating schedule. During the first week papers will be published through SOS, with papers from SCSC and SWC following in subsequent weeks. During the fourth week, the Academy will publish after action reports. The Academy will also publish a quarterly journal, Space War Review, containing the papers published by each school over the past quarter along with a sampling of reader responses.

The source for the Academy is you, the player community. The Academy will accept papers from registered users, publishing the best through the appropriate school.
